The road to WrestleMania is heating up, and one WWE superstar has a dream match in mind that's sure to set the wrestling world ablaze!
With WrestleMania just over two months away, Cody Rhodes, the former Undisputed WWE Champion, has shared a matchup he'd absolutely love to see unfold in the bright lights of Las Vegas. While he's not officially in charge of booking the card, Rhodes expressed to TMZ Sports his fervent wish to witness a showdown between Logan Paul and Bad Bunny.
When catching up with Rhodes in New York City, the question arose about whether the global music sensation, Bad Bunny, would make a return to WWE for WrestleMania 42. "I hope we get him back," Rhodes stated. "He did a wonderful job, but he's on top of the world right now."
And he's not wrong! Bad Bunny recently captivated an enormous audience, delivering the fourth most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in NFL history, with a staggering 128.2 million viewers tuning in for his performance. It's worth noting that while he deemed his halftime show an "all-timer," he still holds Prince's iconic 2007 Super Bowl performance as his personal favorite.
But back to the wrestling ring, where Bad Bunny has already proven his mettle. His last WWE appearance was in May 2023, in his home country of Puerto Rico, where he engaged in a thrilling San Juan Street Fight against Damian Priest. This performance showcased his genuine commitment and ability within the squared circle.
When prompted about who Bad Bunny should face next, Rhodes immediately pointed to Logan Paul. Paul has steadily carved out a significant presence in WWE since his in-ring debut in April 2021, establishing himself as a legitimate and captivating superstar.
Considering Bad Bunny's current touring schedule extends until March, with a break before May, there's a potential window for him to make a highly anticipated return to WWE and perhaps step into the ring with Logan Paul at WrestleMania. But here's where it gets interesting...
Is a celebrity boxing match in a wrestling ring truly what's best for the sport, or is it a spectacle that elevates the entire WWE brand? While Bad Bunny and Logan Paul have undeniable star power, some purists might argue that this spot could be better utilized by a full-time, dedicated wrestler. What are your thoughts? Do you agree with Cody Rhodes' dream match, or do you have another pairing in mind? Let us know in the comments below!
